Toronto Raptors fans are reacting to the release of a new classic edition jersey that harkens back to a historic look.
In celebration of its 30th season in the NBA and in recognition of former Raptors star Vince Carter, the team dropped the jersey on Tuesday.
“You wanted purple…” it teased on X, alongside a campaign video featuring current and previous raptors players showing off the revamped style.

The Raptors famously wore purple jerseys with a red dinosaur in the early 2000s.
The new merch comes less than a week after it was announced that Carter’s number 15 jersey would be retired by the Raptors at Scotiabank Arena on Nov. 2.
His will be the first ever to be retired by the Toronto Raptors.
